Owner and Lead Technician Karl Troy, opened European Road and Racing in 1990. Karl has excelled in every aspect of the automotive industry. Dating back to 1985, Karl was invited to work for BRUN Motorsport. While there, he prepared a Porsche 962 for the IMSA Series. During his travels around the world, he also prepared other 962s for the WEC (World Endurance Championship). The next year, he and his fellow team members became World Champions at the end of the 1986 series in Fuji, Japan. Always humble and grounded, the success did not stop there. With a burning desire to share his expertise on performance vehicles with his home town, Charleston, SC, Karl teamed up with his brother, Martin Troy as the resident BMW expert.
